Healthy Recipes: Beetroot Cutlet
If you are looking to munch on something that is both tasty and healthy then, beetroot cutlet is the way to go. They are easy to make, delicious and colorful, making them an instant hit with your kids and guests. Relish them as a starter to your main meal or as an evening snack with tea or coffee.
Ingredients
3 medium potatoes, boiled and grated
2 medium beetroots, boiled and grated
2 green chillies, chopped
¼ cup coriander, chopped
½ tbsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp garam masala
½ tbsp cumin powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 whole lemon, squeezed
½ cup bread crumbs
salt to taste
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients and make a semi hard dough.
- Using a heart shaped cutter give it shape.
- Preheat the skillet on a medium flame.
- Place the heart shaped cutlets on the skillet with lid on and Redi-Temp™ valve open.
- Once the valve whistles, close the Redi-Temp™ valve and cook on a low flame for 3 minutes.
- Open the lid, using a spatula flip the cutlet and repeat the cooking process.
- Serve it hot with mint sauce or/and ketchup.
