Brunch With A Healthy Punch!

When we think about a Sunday brunch, our mind drifts towards those feel good foods that make weekends worth living. We, at Seeba International had a different thought; we decided to give the traditional brunch a healthy twist by cooking in Royal Prestige®.

Last Sunday (October 02, 2016), we organized a healthy brunch at Chef Rakhee Vaswani’s Palate Culinary Studio in association with Food Blogger Association India (FBAI). The day started with a buzzing kitchen that was making sure everything was up and ready for the bloggers. When the clock struck 12, our first guest made an appearance and was soon followed by others filling the studio with talks and smiles. We kick-started the brunch by introducing Royal Prestige® cookware brand, health focused cooking system and how a compromise in choosing your cookware is a compromise in the health of your family. Not much was said about the cookware then because seeing is believing after all. And who better to show that than Chef Rakhee herself who feels passionately about the product and has been using Royal Prestige® cookware at Palate Culinary Studio since the beginning of this year.

As the bloggers sipped on their sangrias and nibbled on focaccia bread with dips, we quickly demonstrated the baking soda test using a Bergner (non-stick coating), a traditional aluminum kadai, and a traditional iron kadai, alongside Royal Prestige® cookware. The test was simple – each cookware was filled with a glass of water and a teaspoon of edible baking soda and brought to a boil. On cooling, the liquids were poured into clear glasses and we requested each blogger to taste a spoonful of the liquid. While the water in all three normal cookwares lost their opacity and turned blurry, the water from Royal Prestige® stood out. “Not only was the water clear, it tasted just like salty water while the water from the other cookware tasted horrible” – truly surprised and shocked to learn what their cookware must be doing to them on a daily basis.

A pre-prepped menu cook-off between the bloggers using non-stick cookware versus Royal Prestige® cookware soon followed. After the baking soda test, clearly the bloggers wanted to be on the Royal Prestige® team. On the menu was a beautiful one-pot meal of Moroccan Chermoula Chicken with broccoli and carrots and a Barley Risotto to go along with it. Within no time or effort, the Royal Prestige® team was seen chilling by their platform as their meals required no pot watching. The Moroccan Chermoula Chicken with broccoli and carrots took no longer than 5-7 minutes while the risotto cooked in around 15 minutes and oil-free without any burning or charring on the bottom of the pans.

We finished the cook-off with an indulgent yet healthy Oats Chocolate Cake sweetened by dates and baked in Royal Prestige® – a recipe curated by Chef Rakhee herself. Another surprise to the plate was our all-time favourite Suji Halwa without ghee cooked seamlessly in just 10 minutes.

We hope the entire event was an eye opener to many. The added benefits of maximum nutrition, time and energy saving and 50-year warranty aside, Royal Prestige® cookware is safe and does not react with your food. While it is a premium product, it is super easy to use. We left a few raised eyebrows and an intrigued audience that clearly had something to think (write) about!
